Franklyn is proud to reaffirm its longstanding support of local charity Friends for Leisure, celebrating a partnership that continues to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young people with disabilities across Cheshire.
“Supporting Friends for Leisure is something we truly believe in. Their work changes lives, and we’re proud to be a part of that impact.” Andrew Chatterton, Franklyn CEO.
In May 2025, Franklyn successfully nominated Friends for Leisure for a St. James’s Place Charitable Foundation grant, resulting in the charity receiving £2,000 to support its vital work. This is the latest in a series of contributions made by Franklyn over the years as part of its commitment to supporting local causes and creating lasting community impact.
Friends for Leisure organises leisure activities and opportunities for disabled children and young people aged 5–21, aiming to reduce social isolation and help them build friendships and confidence.
Andrew Chatterton, CEO of Franklyn, commented:
“Supporting Friends for Leisure is something we truly believe in. Their work changes lives, and we’re proud to be a part of that impact. This most recent grant is just one example of our ongoing commitment to the charity and to the local community. We’re honoured to play a role in helping them continue their fantastic work.”
Gillian Jones, charity manager of Friends For Leisure, added:
“We are so grateful to Franklyn for their continued support and for putting us forward for the St. James’s Place grant. This funding will make a real difference to the young people we support. Having a business like Franklyn championing our work means a great deal, both to our team and to the families we serve.”
Franklyn plans to continue raising awareness of the charity’s mission and supporting Friends for Leisure and other local charities and communities with their fundraising efforts. To date Franklyn have raised over 2 million pounds for charity, with their Summer Swing Charity Golf Day being a highlight, this year taking place on Wednesday 3rd September at Mottram Hall.
